Setting things up for you
Setting things up for you
Everything a new account needs before it can take its first online booking. These are the same eight steps as the setup checklist inside Upkilo, in the same order — each one unlocks as the previous is finished, because each genuinely depends on the last.
You can follow this guide, or work through the same checklist in the app — it tracks your progress automatically and shows what is left.
Settings → Business
Your business name, logo, address and contact details. This is what clients see on your booking page and on every confirmation and reminder you send, so it is the first step for a reason.
Settings → Hours
The days and times you are open. Upkilo only ever offers slots inside these hours, so nothing else you configure can produce a bookable slot until this is set.
Services
Each service carries a duration and a price. Duration is what determines how a slot occupies the calendar, and price is what any deposit percentage is calculated against later.
Staff
Add the people who take bookings. Each staff member has their own availability, and your plan sets how many seats you get — extra seats are available as an add-on rather than requiring a higher tier.
Settings → Branding
Your colours and logo on the public booking link. On paid plans the "Powered by Upkilo" footer is removed; on the free plan it stays.
Payments
Connect a payment gateway so you can take deposits or full payment at the time of booking. Your clients pay you in your own currency through your own connected account — this is separate from your Upkilo subscription, which is billed in USD.
Bookings → New
Add one manually to see the whole flow end to end — confirmation, reminder and calendar entry — before you send the link to real clients.
Clients
Add one by hand, or bring your whole list across from your previous platform in one go.
Bring your list across from Mindbody, Vagaro, Acuity or any CSV.
Notice periods, cancellation windows, deposits and no-show fees.
Put your booking page on your own domain, and send email from it.
What each plan includes, and how to add seats or locations without changing tier.
